Prior to joining MHM, Abdullah worked with museums across Saudi Arabia to help develop their exhibitions and make better use of their rich collections. He also led field work for various cultural projects in Saudi Arabia, including work on intangible heritage and oral history.
He is particularly interested in ensuring cultural projects remain engaging and accessible to all. For him, the key to each project lies in the successful transfer of skills and the building of responsive teams.
Abdullah has an interest in Oriental manuscripts, especially collections held in Western libraries and manages an Arabic website focussed on the topic.
