Location: Manchester (Hybrid working with two days based in the office)

Salary: £45,000 – 50,000 per annum dependent on experience plus profit related bonus scheme.

The Role: As Senior Consultant, you lead strategic, high-value research and consultancy projects and accounts, developing relationships and maximising value delivered for the client and the company. The Senior Consultant uses their expertise to deliver and embed transformative insights for clients, builds new business and plays a key role in the company’s strategic development.

Project delivery  Lead high-level strategic consultancy and large-scale insight projects that help our clients reach their goals, profitably delivering high-quality, actionable insights.
Research tools Ensure research and consultancy delivery is focused on client goals through overseeing the development of creative and fit for purpose research and consultancy tools.
Data collection Facilitate qualitative research methods as needed.
Insight Lead teams through the MHM insight process to develop relevant actionable insights for our clients. Be a strategic partner to clients, supporting them to enact change.
Team Set and lead the project team culture to get the best out of all involved.
Client relationships


Develop relationships as a trusted advisor to clients at multiple levels, diagnosing opportunities across teams and embedding recommendations.
Profitability Take a commercial and entrepreneurial approach to driving profit and value: at minimum, meeting client brief while delivering on time and budget – and leading a culture of efficiency across the team.
Business-winning Take a leadership role in business-winning, developing new and established relationships.
Scope Scope and design consultancy and insight projects to address high-level, complex client needs.
Proposals and bidding Take a leading role in developing and delivering research and consultancy proposals and pitches to persuade potential clients.
Existing client relationships Maintain relationships with key clients between projects to ensure we remain their go-to agency and understand the impact of our work. Actively seek out opportunities to widen our reach within organisations across a range of teams/levels.
Proactive sales Lead on the strategy for, and delivery of, development of relevant market sectors through pro-active sales activity.
Internal Contribute to MHM development and continuous improvement of processes and approaches
Development Take an active role in developing research and consultancy skills in others across the team.
Culture Take a leading role in the ongoing development of MHM culture and team engagement through modelling MHM behaviours, and encouraging others to do so
Innovation Take a leading role in identifying new opportunities to anticipate and address emerging needs, driving value and profit. Includes new research methods and consultancy models, identifying opportunities to trial and adopt new approaches.
Aims Participate in setting, and leading on the delivery of, company aims and objectives.
Sector leadership Representing the company as an expert in the sector through conferences and articles.
