Becca joined MHM as a Research Assistant in July 2023, and is now a part of the UK/EU Cause-led team.
Prior to joining MHM, Becca completed their BA and MA degrees in History at the University of Manchester. Their dissertation topics centred on the representations of homosexuality in the press through the mid-20th century, and the privatisation of public execution in the 19th century as a form of controlling the working class. Both reflect their passion to better understand social justice and identities. Post-degree, Becca spent a year working at both the Imperial War Museum North, and Science and Industry Museum, and going forward they are keen to continue their involvement in the museum and cultural sector.
On the weekends, Becca can be found searching out new coffee shops and cafes to try in the city, attempting to befriend wildlife during walks in nature, or falling out with their sewing machine.
