Ruby joined MHM as a Research Assistant in the UK/EU Culture team in April 2024.

Ruby brings a variety of experience in the arts and culture sector to this role. Working in organisations including the National Trust and Science Museum Group, her experience within exhibitions, learning and fundraising teams equips her with a diverse skillset. From delivering tours and workshops, researching collections, writing interpretation for exhibitions and encouraging visitor donations, Ruby has always been driven by a passion for engaging audiences.

Studying for an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies at the University of Manchester sparked Ruby’s interest in understanding audiences, leading her to explore visitor motivations at Manchester Art Gallery in her dissertation. Ruby also holds a BA in Geography where her dissertation examined the spatial politics of immersive experiences, and she experimented with creative research methods including poetry and digital collage. Initially from an art and design background, Ruby specialised in 3D and spatial design at Manchester School of Art and brings a distinct creative flair to all her work.

In her free time, Ruby loves to sing in the shower, solve crosswords and watch as many films as possible.
